Hello! Welcome! As you can tell, this website is under construction. But luckily I have this page to let you know several different ways to find out what I am doing. Cycles of Change is the name I have chosen that includes both psychotherapy, personal and executive coaching, training and mentoring. I believe everything in life moves in cycles or spirals. My goals are to help people move through their lives with more ease, breath and aliveness so that they can embrace the kind of life they really want. What is the difference between therapy and coaching? 1. Therapy has roots in medicine and psychiatry, while coaching has roots in sports, business and personal growth. 2. Therapy works with people to achieve self-understanding and emotional healing, while coaching works to move people to a higher level of functioning. 3. Therapy focuses on feelings and past events while coaching focuses on actions, the present and moving into the future to achieve ones goals and dreams. 4. Therapy works to bring the unconscious into consciousness, while coaching works with the conscious mind. 5. Therapy works for internal resolution of pain, to let go of old patterns and learn new behaviors. Coaching works for external solutions to overcome barriers, learn new skills, and implement effective choices. 6. Therapy is typically done in an office setting, while coaching is typically done over the phone.
